Salary:  $21.348-$28.301 per hour (2015 BAH)


Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

  • The Documentation Coordinator is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining the documentation site for the Diagnostic and Surgical Recovery Task Force.
  • Receives, files, and distribute documents and maintains documentation logs for the Project Management Office (up to 10 Project Groups and up to 50 Project Teams), Planning Section, Operations Section, Logistics Section, and Finance Section, as well as the Steering Committee.
  • Creates a new SharePoint site.
  • Uploads, organizes, and maintains content on a new SharePoint site for users from multiple organizations.
  • Works collaboratively with a number of stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
  • Manages various permissions within the site.
  • Coordinates the bulk-request provisioning process.
  • May be required to perform other duties and functions related to this job description not exceeding above stated skills and capabilities.


  • 3-5 years previous related experience.
  • Incumbent is required to be self-motivated with excellent problem-solving, good judgment, organization, communications, interpersonal and negotiating skills.  
  • Must be able to function with limited guidance, supervision and monitoring.   

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Completion of post-secondary education in computer science or computer science related studies, web-design, information technology, or information technology management.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and on-the-job training related to SharePoint and provisioning may be considered.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computerized systems (Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio Software) required. 
  • Knowledge of SIMS (Surgical Information Systems) required. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in an ever changing fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in multitasking for coordination of activities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adjust to change and encourage a positive, respectful and creative team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interpret/explain policies and procedures to a diverse audience of stakeholders.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to cope with unexpected interruptions in order to meet challenging deadlines.  
  • Good physical and mental health required.
