Position Overview
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for supportive duties related to the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant (clinical and retail) required.

Qualifications and Skills
- Computer knowledge required.
- Knowledge of Word/Excel and KROLL software programs an asset.
- Familiar with cash registers and interact.
- Familiar with office systems, computers, photocopiers, facsimiles, and complex telephone systems.
- Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with the public and staff as a team member.
- Displays a polite, helpful and courteous manner when communicating with patients/residents, families, the general public and other staff members/consultants.
- Demonstrates a calm and confident manner during emergency and/or difficult situations.
- Displays good interpersonal and telephone relations with Pharmacists, Physicians, Administrative Staff, Nursing Staff, other facility departments, patients, families and the general public.
- Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position.
- Represents the Churchill Regional Health Authority in a professional and positive manner.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
