Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
The incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to the Manager – Clinical Engineering, including processing job postings and related paperwork. Coordinates appointment calendar for the Manager(s) , arranges meetings, records minutes, and carries out follow-up actions. The incumbent is responsible for customer communication regarding contracts, invoices, booking on-site service, and any associated questions.
Supports the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Provincial Clinical Engineering Program.
Experience
- Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications and Skills
- Typing 50 wpm, medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
- Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills required.
- Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, beliefs and practices.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to function in a high volume, high traffic environment.
