Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Digital Health focuses on supporting clinical and business systems as the foundation for leveraging electronic data in the delivery of health-care services.

 

We have an opportunity for an ERP configuration specialist who will provide specialized technical and functional support and expertise regarding third party integrations including requirements definition, design specifications, configuration and unit testing for specific modules of our ERP system (SAP modules may include FI/CO, MM, IM, WM, SD and HCM). As part of the Business Services team within Digital Health, the ERP configuration specialist will provide level two support and coordinate with the product vendor (SAP) for level three support as required. The successful candidate will define and implement fixes, execute all unit test activities, investigate, identify and remedy the root cause of failures and implement preventative measures, and implement system upgrades and patches in adherence with ITIL processes. The ERP configuration specialist will configure or develop custom program codes for system enhancements and provide solutions to address business requirements and will provide design solutions to support projects and data conversions which may include interfacing with third party applications based on best practices, legislative compliance and direct experience providing pragmatic solutions. The successful candidates leadership, professionalism, diplomacy, and continuous improvement orientation will be evident as they collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide excellent customer service, identify system solutions, and support an integrated province-wide health-care system that provides multiculturally respectful health services delivery.

Experience
  • 5 years of experience in ERP configuration (specific to SAP) within specific functional area(s) including the completion of at least two full life cycle implementations
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Post-secondary degree in computer science, technology, or engineering from an accredited educational institution
  • Graduate degree in technology, health, health informatics or a related discipline is an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • A valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province
  • Additional relevant certifications specific to SAP configuration within relevant module(s) are assets
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated professional leadership capabilities at the front-line level. Shared Health has adopted the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be available for some travel within the province, able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment, and able to lift and move items of up to approximately 25 pounds
