Position Overview

Under the supervision and direction of the Program Manager - Rehabilitation Services or designate, the Rehabilitation Aide is responsible for assisting the Rehabilitation Therapists with patient treatment and the smooth operation of the department; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience

  • One (1) year experience as an assistant or aide in a              Rehabilitation Department.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12.
  • Rehabilitation Aide/Assistant certificate (W.T.C./R.R.C.) required, or  currently enrolled in a University Physiotherapy Program and having completed year two (2).

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current CPR certification required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clean and tidy appearance.

Physical Requirements

  • Physically capable of moving and transferring patients.
