Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Materiel Services and within the Vision, Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Seven Oaks General Hospital, the ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANING SERVICES AIDE is responsible for maintaining the facility in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. He/She performs all required cleaning functions, including restocking of supplies, waste removal, recycling, and other related duties. 

Experience

  • Previous environmental cleaning services experience in a health care setting preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade X education.
  • Recognized Housekeeping Course (e.g. “Fundamental Housekeeping Methodology”) an asset.

  • Detail oriented with an ability to organize and adjust to variable workloads.
  • Ability to prioritise assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

  • Must be in good physical condition to meet the demands of the position.
