Community Development Programmer

0.5 EFT Community Development Programmer (1 year term)
Inkster Parent Child Coalition
Start Date: November 12, 2018

We are currently recruiting for 1 Community Programmers for the Inkster Parent Child Coalition to provide high quality parent-child programs for families living in the Inkster community.
The programmer will organize, advertise and facilitate parent-child programs at various sites in the Inkster community area. The programmer will maintain program statistics and prepare program and financial reports as required. The programmer will function within an interdisciplinary team that provides a wide variety of primary health care services to diverse populations.
Specific hours to be determined, some evening and weekend work may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience in group facilitation
- Knowledge/Training in Early Childhood Development
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Empathic, nonjudgmental approach
- Knowledge of Community Development principals and practice
- Knowledge of Inkster community area
- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team in a variety of settings.
- Knowledge/Experience with diverse cultures and economic backgrounds.
