Our Application and Integration Solutions team provides custom application development, systems integration, business analytics, web site development and general application management services to support clinical and business systems throughout Manitoba.


We have an opportunity for an Application Support Analyst 2 who will report to a supervisor work and coordinate the resolution of application support issues, fulfill service requests, and assist in deploying systems and services. You will develop, support, and update application configurations, data, and reports, and proactively monitor and maintain the software infrastructure. You will work closely with support personnel and end users to ensure application performance, accessibility and utility; provide ongoing application support and monitoring; and design, develop and configure application databases, services and solutions. Your focus on customer service will be evident as you demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy in your client relationships.


Some of the many applications, tools and platforms in our environment include Windows Desktop and Server, Unix and Linux, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, SSRS, SSIS, Cognos, PowerBI, Business Objects, Sharepoint, XML, IIS, MS Office, VBA, PowerShell, PowerApps, Access, and ITIL.


Special application instructions: Include a comprehensive list of the applications for which you have provided tier 2 and 3 technical application support for at least two years, and any hospital and health-care information systems with which you have experience interfacing.

  • You have three years of experience providing technical support of clinical and business applications.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • You have a computer science, systems engineering or related diploma from an accredited post-secondary educational institution; an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience may be considered.
  • An undergraduate degree in computer science is an asset.

Physical Requirements

Some important requirements of this job include:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate the service requirements of source system and client organizations and support our 24/7/365, province-wide client needs through through scheduled overtime and on call work as required
  • Must work safely in an environment where some lifting and moving of personal computer equipment of up to approximately 25 lbs. is required.
  • Must possess a valid class 5 Manitoba driver’s license and have use of a personal motor vehicle for local and rural travel within Manitoba.
